I called and asked if a medication is in stock before requesting my doctor to call it in, as it’s a medication that is on a national shortage. The first time I called, I was told they had it in stock. I then had my doctor call it in and was ensured again that it was indeed in stock. They then contacted me and told me my medication was delayed since it was out of stock. I called again and at first the person who answered gave me incorrect information about the medication and prescription, then proceeded to confirm I was actually correct and they are out of stock of the medication. I’ve only used CVS in the past, and this was my first time trying Walgreens. Safe to say I will not be using them again.

This has got to be one of the worst locations. I came here last month for a prescription for my mother and the pharmacy tech let the shade down in my face 7 mins early. Here I am here again the the pharmacy closed for lunch break early as I walked up they were leaving 1:24 pm. Why have hours posted when they aren’t abiding by them. What’s the purpose of complaining to management, your complaint falls on deaf ear and inkless paper.

I have stage iv metastatic cancer with numerous bone mets and multiple spinal fractures. I pick up a prescription here every month at the same time. Last month, and then again this month they said they were completely out of stock. Last month, they managed to fill it anyways. This month, no luck. They also won’t tell me when it might come. Or call other pharmacies to find where it might be in stock so I can switch it. (Pharmacists won’t tell an individual person if it’s in stock- it has to be a pharmacist or pharm tech) They tell me if I need the medicine I will have to go to the ER. Going to the ER with neutropenia (suppressed immune system) from cancer treatment is the worst place to be. It’s bad enough but magically a neighbor who has the same prescription had hers called in a day later and hers was filled while they’re still telling me out of stock. So weird. And there is no concern or apologies. And the telling metastatic cancer patient to go to the ER? People told me to not use Walgreens. I guess I should have listened.

Any time you need to call this pharmacy you are going to be on hold! Once I was on hold at 8:20 pm. At 9:15 pm, after they closed, I was still on hold. This latest time, I called in my refill but I was redirected to speak to the pharmacist. Of course, I was immediately asked to hold. Then every few minutes someone picked up and put me on hold again (not saying a word). This went on for almost an hour. So, I hung up and called back at 9:05 am the next day. The exact same thing. So, after 10 minutes of being on hold, I decided to drive to Walgreens, WHILE ON HOLD! No one was in line! She was finishing up with a customer but the people in the back were filling prescriptions but ignoring I was on hold. Finally, I was told my prescription needs my doctor to call in my refill. However, that would have been nice to know from a phone call. When I left NO ONE was in line. I WAS STILL ON HOLD! Needless to say, I have transferred my prescriptions back to Kroger. It's not as close to my house as Walgreens but at least I do not have to deal with rude and incompetent people!
